When a company wants to promote a product have to study the market and competitors. One way to promote is advertising; consist in making your product known to people.
This could be trough different advertising media like billboards, commercials, sponsorships, sandwich board man, classified ads…etc.

As we know, advertising is only one of four standard promotional tools which are: sales promotions, public relations and personal selling.

Sales promotions consist in promotion that supplements or coordinates advertising. This is focus in different techniques like price reduction; loyal reward program…

Public relations consist to promote the product via word-of-mouth and using people making easier the knowledge of the product. Protecting the image of the company or brand.

And the last one is personal selling which consist in a direct treat with the customer, going to someone’s house, special call…Probably it is the most effective way to promote.

Secondly we can tell advertising is very useful, is one of the most important ways to promote. An inconvenient for advertising is that the quality and capacity to promote is the money, depends on how much money you can spend on it.

Sales promotion stimulates a quick increase or brand switching but it’s difficult to get loyal customers to this effect.

Public relations are very common for new products which are also very objective but the negative part is that maybe it could not be very trustful and you can´t control their target market.

And last but not less important is personal selling which sometimes is the perfect way to promote, people like the exclusive treat but the target market is limited because a lot of people don’t like it.

To sum up, it is very important to know how to promote a product and choose correctly the perfect way.
